Goa Gajah Temple
Goa Gajah (the Elephant Cave), is located in a steep valley just
outside of Ubud near the town of Bedulu. Built at least 700 years ago,
the cave was rediscovered in the 1920s and fully excavated 30 years
later. At the facade of the cave is a relief of various menacing
creatures and demons carved right into the rock at the cave entrance.
The primary figure was once thought to be an elephant, hence the
nickname Elephant Cave. |

Tegalalang Rice Terrace
Tegalalang is located at 5 km northern part of Ubud Village and own the
magnificent view of rice terrace. The rice terrace is designed
very beautiful with exquisite hollowing rice field and precisely
located on the hill bank. At
this place, you will see the Balinese farmer do their rice field in
oblique area complete with its system irrigation. You will enjoy the
beautiful panorama of valley with rice terrace and coconut trees

Monkey Forest
The Ubud Monkey Forest is a nature reserve and temple complex in Ubud,
Bali. There are four groups of monkeys each occupying
different territories in the park. The Sacred Monkey Forest is a
popular tourist attraction in Ubud, and is often visited by over 10,000
tourists a month. The forest comprises approximately a tenth of a
square kilometer (approximately 27 acres) and contains at least 115
different species of trees.

The Neka Art Museum, previously known as the Neka Museum, is unique
because its collection of foreign artworks by Balinese, other
Indonesian, and foreign artists all were inspired by the natural

Ubud Palace ( Puri Saren Agung )
Puri Saren Agung is a large palace located at the intersection of
Monkey Forest and Raya Ubud roads. The home of Tjokorda Gede
Agung Sukawati (1910-1978), the last "king" of Ubud, it is
now occupied by his descendants and dance performances are held in its
courtyard. It was also one of Ubud's first hotels, dating back to the
1930s. |

Ubud Art Market
Located at the corner of Jl Raya Ubud, right in the front of Puri Saren Agung,
this is a double storey warren of stalls bursting at the seams with
wood carvings, batik shirts, sarongs, and all manner of other
souvenirs. The art crafting are sold in this art market
consisted of various crafting, from traditional until contemporary
crafting which its price is relatively cheap. You can do the
transaction directly to the merchant which generally can be bargained. |

Balinese Legong Dance
Balinese dances are a very ancient tradition that is a part of the
religious expression among the Balinese people. the show is perform
inside Ubud palace in open air stage but sometimes is being moved
according to weather condition. The dance is tells about Balinese
folklore in the past, and it perform for about 2 hours duration with
several chapters. |
